For this this project I decide to go for the theme of low light due to the fascination of that theme since I was young. The key feature of this work which has drawn me to this is that the natural features are reconstructed by light causing the work to be augmented into a new piece. In my opinion the work with the new light creates an augmented image which has many images that can be explored within.
Liam Wong - Tokyo After Dark/Haze, 2018
If I had to describe what I could see within the image I would describe how the walls reflect the light from the buildings on the other side of the alleyway as well as the light from possibly the main road which could be close by the light from the unnatural setting such as the light from the bicycle which covers the ground ahead of it. The focus of the image being on the road creates the effect the all buildings and poles are sort of a shadow although being right there. As my eye moves across the image it gives me the idea that lack of humans means that the place is not well know as well as having the place being forgotten. The image draws me in due to the absence of light in many places and then the blue like tint to the whole of the image. What fascinates me is wondering what the photographer, Liam Wong, decided to do to create this image due to the interesting placement of the images as well as it being on a road that seems to be abandoned which can be inferred due to the lack of people in the large amount of space. The quality of the light interests me as the image is quite dim due to the lack of lights from the lampposts and the colour in the images is particularly blue which interests me as the sky would not appear this blue in he city due to the light pollution. This image in a way wants me to explore my sense of freedom due to the area seeming abandoned in a sort of way. In my opinion I believe that this image is an urban landscape image due to the image being created as it portrays the city although not being in the traditional landscape format.

Liam Wong
Liam Wong uses bright lights to amplify the objects within the image which are usually taken at night in heavily populated places due to the fact that the images have been untampered with so it is natural scenarios created by people around the images location. The fact that the image is not artificial confuses me due to the light levels although I believe that some of the images have been tampered with most likely by using photoshop

Liam Wong Responce
To begin I used the morning light to create simple street photography and used the street lights due to their unnatural and then afterwards I waited until the evening to try and use the moon as natural lighting for the images but instead of that the images began to focus on the moon so any sort of movement messed with my work causing issues with the work so for some images it became a sort of light painting which in the long run is not perfect but in that moment in time it was aggrovating
Melissa Breyer
Mellisa Breyer is a low light photographer who takes advantage of natural resources such as fog or the reflection from water. The situation of the people within the image result in the image being as if they are not in the same reality meaning they sort of just stare off into the distance as if the photographer is not even there. The choice of using black and white tones for the image due to the simplistic fashion as well as reviewing the past in a way due to the people wearing old clothes so the work seems like it occurred in the 20th century.

Experiment 30/1/2023
This work I believe was in a better standard than the others due to creative freedom that I had as well as many people having similar ideas resulting in the work becoming more refined within the first attempt due to the work being
Experiment 6/2/2023
When experimenting with what I am limited to do with first of all the custom lighting but secondly what I can convince the model to do due to the limited amount of space that I could exploit as well as the images being quite hard to experiment with as the images. The background being black makes the person, the focus of the image so that the work. The images are more refined the further along I went with the work although there was issues with the focus of the camera which took a while for me to sort out which resulted in the images start quite poorly and then end up being quite good. The work began with experimenting with an metallic umbrella which created bright reflections which resulted in me wanting to investigate more into how the colours relate to how the images are correlated with peoples feelings (colour psychology). This allows me to be able to express my passion in this work by being allowed to analyse such a thing
Effie Paleologou
Effie Paleologou is a low light street photo and the colours are quite bright in the images but the use of lowering the speed that photos are taken at creates an Interesting theme within the image with it resulting in the images being affected with lines of light which I believe that I can use items such as glow sticks to emulate that sort of light which would be unnatural as well as it being to contrast the landscape. The work of the lights from cars and trains is intriguing to me due to he fact that it is a use of unnatural light for a large distance.

G.F.Williams
G.F.Williams is a Uk based photographer who does low light car photography. The work inspires me a lot due to the manipulation of the light such as the light often fading as it goes round which is a specific choice of style that intrigues me to follow his work as it always differ wether its the vehicle changing or the setting the effect on the subject of the photo is drastic. The use of bright lights with the metallic vehicles interests me due to the work is outside in urban areas or in the woods which is a peculiar placement of where to work.

Golden Hour Photography
Golden hour photography is photography which occurs at certain moments of during dusk and dawn where the sun is at a distinct angle resulting in the natural lighting being drastically affected meaning that the image. The sunlight will affect the colour of the clouds like an artificial filter resulting in the sky having a drastic change as well as having an affect on the objects within the images, usually by darkening the the objects whilst emulating the sky
David Gibbson
David Gibbson's work is it a interesting due to the areas that are not usually largely affected by the sun but with the use of filers I believe that I will be able to get a similar result as in the images the sun is almost a blood orange sort of colour which I believe can be amplified and make it so the work will have sort of cotton candy like pink affecting the clouds but if not I will make it so the colour is more gold than any over colour. The choice of having the images been taken in quite empty places amplifies the suns affect on the environment.

attempts of golden hour photography
Plan for making day so far
- Bring in 6 photos taken outside of school (hopefully London and in Greenwich park)
- take between 4-8 photos in side of school preferably in the broadcast studio
- use photoshop to make the colour of the images better
- have photos of people, lighting affects on the surroundings, objects preferably cars.
- split the photos 40%-30%-30%
- make a accordion photo book
- retake photos of the accordion photo book in low light settings
- possible things to include in the selection of photos are: black and white images, as well as light painting due to creating contrasts of colour.
- print out all photos and create the accordion 3 photos per piece of A4 paper. (roughly 7 pages of paper)
- then uses spray glue to stick the photos on to mount-board and use a Stanley knife to partially cut the board and bend it.
- make a accordion photo book.
- retake photos of the accordion photo book in low light settings
